TWO-FER!
I have had my scooter for a few weeks now and I am pretty comfortable with it. I have been very careful when driving and parking and have yet to run it out of gas (knock on wood). Today, the scooter decided to wreck itself. You may laugh, but I parked it, turned off any lights and fully extended the kickstand as I always do. However, unbeknownst to me, the concrete beneath my kickstand was poured on top of an air bubble. The weight of the scooter pushed the concrete down into the air bubble and the scooter fell off a 3 foot ledge and tumbled down a small hill. :/ It appears that no matter how careful you are, sometimes, S#!T happens. :( This is the damage caused by the scooter's tumble:
You can see the plastic shield cracked and the handlebar casing cracked. Also, the mirrors were both loose the throttle wouldn't turn correctly and the tank covers had popped out of their original places.
The guy that rented me the scooter tried to blame me for the damage but when he saw the hole in the ground where the scooter was sitting, he decided that what I said before was correct. S#!T just happens sometimes. Thank goodness he and his mechanic, Prince, were able to fix it that night.
Back to new in no time!!!!!

Yes! The beach. Got back in the swing of things today and played some beach volleyball just like old times. The water was gorgeous and though I need to play a lil more to get back to where I was, it was nice to be on the court again today and to see Kirsten, Joe, Jordan, Buddy, Thomas and Allie playing too. Again, can't wait for next week!

There's no place like home. Or our home away from home. Saturday was full of running around and the SO social. Then it was time to study and grab a beer with a friend. At the end of the night I was so happy to come back to our home with the man that I love and just sleep until late the next morning.

Its official! I'm part of the SO Kickball team!!!! This is a pic of my scoring my FIRST RUN!!! Yay!!!!
Though Palak made fun of me, I was ducking in case they threw the ball at me to get me out. I didn't feel like getting knocked in the head. I also got one person out at home while I was playing catcher. Can't wait to play again next Friday!

This is a cow.
Today is the 2nd anniversary of the day I decided to be a vegetarian. I must say I didn't think I would last this long and I didn't think it would be this easy. I can honestly say that since I have given up meat, I have tried more diverse food and really opened my mind up to new dining experiences. Though sometimes it gets difficult, like when a family member is eating a juicy steak at Outback, but for the most part I have really enjoyed standing up for my Veggie-ness and am loving my boca burgers.

Today I went into St. George's to continue the process of applying for a work permit. I was wrongly informed that I needed 4 passport pictures to complete this process when I actually needed 6. So I went back to the place I had gone last Friday to get 2 copies of my pictures (measuring about 2"x2"). The lady informed me that it would be $25ec for 2 more copies. Thats roughly $10US. Ridiculous!!! Then she informed me that if I only want 2 copies it would take an hour, but if I get 4 copies, it will be ready right away. Since 4 copies were only $27ec, I decided to go that route.
After all my frustration and thinking about how much I was being ripped off, it hit me. This giant cruise ship is exactly the reason I'm being overcharged today. Well at least I can take solace in the fact that I don't have to shop there ever again.
